[00:02:26] My name is Katie. My name is Jake. How are you doing, Jake? I'm good. I'm great, actually. How are you, Katie? I'm doing good. Let's see, what's new with me? I went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago. Okay. And I found out I have a freckle in my eyeball. A freckle on your eyeball? In my eyeball, yeah. That's a thing. I didn't know that was a thing. Have you always had it? Yeah, apparently. All right.
[00:02:55] My eye doctor, she was like, did you know you have a freckle on your eyeball? I'm like, no. What does that mean? What does that mean? Nothing, really. It's like a freckle on your body. Okay. She's like, just treat it as any other freckle on your body. If your eye starts changing color or if it hurts, then look into it more. I'm like, oh my God. I didn't know you could get a freckle on your eye. I didn't know that either. Wow. There's that. Yeah.
[00:03:24] I call you freckles from now on. Right? So if my eyeball starts changing color, let me know. I mean, depending on how it's changing and what color, I might just run. Let's see what else. We went to Vegas again, last minute, of course. I mean, you've never planned a Vegas trip, right? It's always last minute. Yeah. The plan is that there is no plan. I can see.
[00:03:52] We've been watching Love is Blind, the Minneapolis season. Okay. I've been watching from afar. Yeah. It's sort of like peeking out the window and seeing a car crash. Right. Oh my God. Danny renamed it Love is Bland. It is. Yeah. And everybody's got that Minnesota accent that just makes it even more bland. Right. But like all the guys look the same. Yeah. Yeah. Except for Joey.
[00:04:21] I don't know which one is. The one with the long hair. Okay. Okay. But like, I think the only reason why everybody's watching is because they think that they might know somebody on the season. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Or they want to see where they go on dates in Minneapolis. Like. Give me a good skyline shot. Right? That's the only reason why I'm watching. Oh, I know where that's at. I know where that's at. Right. That. Okay. So I did ask on Facebook, like, does anybody know any of these people?
[00:04:49] Like, and actually our friend's coworker was, is on the show. Oh. So. Okay. On the show. Benji. I don't know which one that is. Like I said, I'm watching from afar. Right. Is that the white guy with the Minnesota accent and the blonde hair? Okay. I know which one you're talking about. That one. Yeah. Benji. Yeah. Of course. So what have you been up to? Working way too much.
[00:05:19] Unthawing. It's. It's. Absolutely gorgeous out. For spring. Yeah. It's. It's first fall spring. So get out there while you can. That was the most Minnesotan thing I've ever heard. I mean, we went from negative 20 to 50. Right. In like a few days. Right. Like, is this the cure to depression? I know. Right. I like had like a boost of like. Dopamine. Yeah. Oh my God. I'm so happy.
[00:05:50] February is like that awful. Depressive month. Like we're just over it. Yeah. The last stretch. And we, we actually got a little bit of sunshine in it. Finally. Hopefully there's no more snow. Oh, now that you said it. Knock on wood. I know. What did I just do to us? Sorry, Minnesota. Anything else new with you or. I mean. F one's right around the corner. Oh, you're. So you're excited. I'm very happy.
[00:06:19] Awesome. And I'm going to erase this year. I'm going to go to Austin in October. Oh yeah. That's right. I think we're talking about going with you guys or maybe. Oh, you should. You should. That'll be a good time. Yeah. I'm sure you'll let me know a couple of days before. Yeah. I'll show up the day of. Hey. Yeah. We're here. That tracks. Well, I guess getting started. I wanted to dedicate this episode to Sebastian, especially.
[00:06:47] And everybody from FetLife who like subscribed to our Patreon from just getting this episode out there. And yeah. And to the anonymous person that suggested this kink. Oh yeah. Great. Thank you everyone. Yeah. We want to dedicate this episode to you guys. Yeah. We love the positive response from everybody. So thank you so much. Yes. We appreciate you. So should we get going with the definition of the kink here? Let's dive in.
[00:07:17] All right. So erotic hypnosis is what we're talking about today. And that is when someone uses hypnosis to help another person relax and go get more into sexual fantasies or experiences. So do you believe in it's real? I didn't before researching this. It's a, it's an odd question. I know. Yeah. I was very skeptical. Right. I guess we'll get more into that for psychology, but. Yeah.
[00:07:46] Weird thing to think about, I guess. I mean, it exists. So. And it's been around for a while too. Yes. Oh, I can't wait to hear about history. Okay. So our drink and snack pairing. So today we have a hypnotic lemonade. Figured very on theme. Yeah. That's a no brainer.
[00:08:11] So to make it, it's a one shot of hypnotic liqueur and vodka and lemonade. Simple as that. It's pretty good. Full disclaimer or a full disclaimer. What is it? Full, full. I've never had one of these before. Hypnotic. Oh yeah. Yeah. It's what do you think? It's sweet. It is. It's very sweet. I like the sourness of the lemonade to match it. Yeah.
[00:08:38] If it was just the hypnotic, I don't think I could do too much of it. Same. All right. And our snack pairing to go along with the hypnosis theme. We did the veggie cream cheese pinwheel sandwiches. The pinwheels are on point. Yeah. The spiral hypnosis. Feels very Twilight Zone. Right. All right. Well, these are good.
[00:09:09] Shall we move on to fun facts? Yeah. Do you want to go first or do you want me to? Well, I got a couple. I think you've got some more than I do. Yeah. You go ahead. I was surprised at the number of members in a couple of these subreddits that I found. Erotic hypnosis has 50,000 members. Erotic or hypno kink has 30,000 members. A lot. That's a lot of people. Yeah.
[00:09:38] Obviously, numbers on FetLife and Discord, you know, because they're private, you're not going to get them. But they're not hard to find. Right. It's out there. Yeah. Sure. Let's see. What do I have? The term hypnosis is banned from many porn sites and clip sites. So now they have to use words like magic, control or mesmerize. They can't even use the word hypnosis. Hmm. All right.
[00:10:08] So do you want to know why it got banned? I do. I'm very interested. All right. So I found this comment on Reddit. Here it goes. The purge of it happened like six years ago. More or less credit card companies said they would stop doing business with any adult sites that had rape, incest or other illegal things. Hypnosis fell under the rape play category. Like it was something that got specifically mentioned to be included under rape porn.
[00:10:37] If there was anything that low key told me powerful people believe in hypnosis, this was it. I was like, wow. Yeah. That coincides with some of the numbers I saw. The rise in these threads and subreddits. It's about 10 years ago is when it really started getting traction. So a few years into that, people start taking notice. Yeah. And there can be like lawsuits with credit card companies. Like, hey, I was under hypnosis under this site. Interesting.
[00:11:07] Like, that's what they're saying. Like, that's why the credit card companies like we're not working with any sites that include hypnosis because they don't want to get sued. Like, I didn't mean to spend all this money on the site. I was under hypnosis and this site offered it. So. Do you think I can use that excuse with my wife? Where did all this sim racing gear come from? Oh, it was research for the pod. I'm so sorry, baby.
[00:11:33] If we ever do an F1 racing kink episode, your Lisa is gonna. She's our guest. Sorry, honey. I don't know all this credit card charges. I don't know. It was for research, for science. Oh, my gosh. Well, I mean, she can never listen to this episode now. Right. Yeah. Turn off your headphones. Yeah. All right. Let's see.
[00:12:02] More fun facts. Oh, this is a fun one. So did you know that there are different types of spirals for hypnosis? Oh, interesting. Yeah. I thought this was cool. I'm really familiar with the regular pinwheel. Right. What do you got? Okay. So there's the classic swirl. Sure. Like you said. So that's like the typical black and white circle, the line spiraling into the center and the sleeve. Right?
[00:12:33] Like the look deep into my eyes. Oh, my gosh. Yes. It's like the classic one that everybody thinks of, I think. Absolutely. So the next one is like the multicolor spirals. Oh, okay. Yeah. Basically the same thing, but just colorful. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah. So clockwise versus counterclockwise matters. Of course. I didn't even think about that. Yeah.
[00:13:03] So clockwise is like, I don't know. Like let's go on an adventure in this hypnosis. And counterclockwise is like, let's unwind and relax. Wow. I know. That blew my mind. Okay. This is getting really cool. Uh-huh. And then the hypnotic waves is another one. Okay. So imagine like ripples on like a pond, like water. Sure. Okay.
[00:13:32] So those are like less intense and they're more for like relaxation. Um. 3D tunnels is the next one. 3D tunnels. Like. Like Mario Brothers. Yeah. That's a good way to describe it. Like you're diving into a tunnel. Yeah. Okay. And that's for more of like a mind blowing, like, whoa. Like, if you want to like trip yourself out. Like. Okay. Like psychedelic. Yeah.
[00:14:02] Yeah. All right. Yeah. So I guess those, all the different types of spirals and what they mean. Oh, wow. Yeah. This, I mean, I've seen like a 60s psychedelic trippy imagery. Right. I love that stuff. Yep. You go wild for it. Oh, teenager me high every day on the weed. My bedroom is full of black light trippy spiral shit.
[00:14:31] Oh my gosh. Hmm. I wonder if my parents knew. I didn't give any clues at all. It was the lava lamp that gave it away. Yeah. Um, let's see. I think that's it for fun facts. Oh, wait. I have one more. So historically pocket watches were used because they're associated with authority and control. Because if you're rich, you got a pocket watch.
[00:15:01] Okay. Interesting. So subconsciously like reinforce like the hypnotist like influence of being powerful. Oh. Wild, right? Check out my Rolex. Right? I'll get you now. I don't know if you use your Rolexes. Pocket watches are so old school. Check out my Rolex. Casio. That's hilarious. I think that's it for fun facts.
[00:15:29] Those are, those are great. Yeah. Great way to start off here. Do you want to take it away with history? Yeah. I, I love history. Yeah. This one was fun. Some of the stuff was sort of like, oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I'm excited. So ancient origins go all the way back to Greece, Egypt, India.
[00:15:58] But it, and let me touch on these a little bit. Ancient Greece. Um, you had healing temples. Um, and I mean, people like Pythagoras, that Pythagorean theorem, that guy. Okay. Yeah. Absolutely. Would use this for, for meditation as well. Okay. Um, in ancient India, um, it was used alongside yoga, meditation.
[00:16:28] Um, they had mantras and rhythmic breathing along with it. Um, and then again, it was used for healing. Okay. Same thing in Egypt. They would have sleep temples. Um, people like go like mind healing or like, um, literally like physical healing, healing the body. Um, yeah. Yeah. So they, my, my, my joints hurt. Can you hypnotize that out of me? Oh my God. Stuff like that.
[00:16:54] Um, and again, the rhythmic, uh, breathing, chanting prayers. Um, and then they would also have what's called magnetizing gestures. Uh, what is that? Magnetizing gestures. Yeah. I had to look this one up. What is that? So, um, moving your hands over someone's body, um, touching their body, rubbing their body. Okay.
[00:17:20] Uh, remember that scene in the karate kid where, uh, Mr. Miyagi puts his hands together and starts rubbing them all fast and starts touching Danielson where he got hurt and all of a sudden Danielson is back in action. Oh my God. I didn't even think of like the physicalness part of all this. Oh my goodness. Okay. Um, we start getting into the modern era of hypnosis with a guy named Franz Mesmer.
[00:17:49] If that name isn't taking off some bells, it should. Cause Mesmer is where we get the word mesmerized. Oh my God. That's the guy. Do you want a fun fact real quick? Yeah. Give me one. My first email address ever was mesmerized Katie at yahoo.com. What? That's awesome. It just popped in my head. Okay. Cool. And it was a yahoo, no less. Right. Of course. Oh my gosh.
[00:18:19] So, um, 18th century Franz Mesmer. He's an Austrian physician. Um, he develops this thing called animal magnetism, which is very much the, uh, along the same lines as these ancient, um, Greeks and, um, the, um, Egyptians. All those people had these techniques that they thought animal, what? And animal magnetism.
[00:18:47] So it's like the, the magnetizing gesture. Um, but what he proposed is that there was this magnetic field in the body, uh, or magnetic fluid rather in the body that could be manipulated through touch. So, um, you could touch somebody, rub somebody to manipulate this magnetic fluid and heal them. So it's like, I'm imagining like even something as simple as a hug.
[00:19:18] I mean, that's, that's actually people definitely get benefit from hugs. I love a good hug. Yeah. Um, but this guy's basically taking it to a, like a healing level where like, you've got injuries, we're going to fix you with this stuff. Yeah. Um, doesn't get until the 19th century that we start getting a little bit more advanced with this.
[00:19:41] Um, James Braid, a Scottish surgeon starts developing this in a modern method. He's using hypnosis for anesthesia in surgeries. What? Yeah. Wait, like no, no medicine. Well, there wasn't any back then. Oh, okay. I see what you're saying. Like what they were trying to. Okay. But they were trying to get people through surgery without excruciating pain. Yeah.
[00:20:11] I always think about like, even just like giving birth, like back in the day. Oh my God. I, oh my God. I was an epidural girl. I was like, give me the epidural. Yeah. So, so is Lisa. Imagine like, ah, it's all your mom was out there who do it naturally. God bless you. Oh my God. Yeah. That's insane. No. I'm more power to you. Uh huh. So James Braid is considered the father of hypnosis.
[00:20:41] He coined the term, uh, hypnosis coming from the Greek word hypnos, which means sleep. And he mistakenly thought this was a form of sleep. That's why he gave it the name. He actually tried to change the name later to monodeism, but nobody liked that. And it didn't stick. Doesn't roll off the tongue. Doesn't really. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:21:09] Uh, this is also the guy that developed the eye fixation technique. The, the pocket watch. Oh. He used pocket watches or really anything that you could use to induce a trance just by concentrating on this object, focusing on it. What would get you, what would your object object be for yourself? Hmm. That's a good question. I mean, I, Oh no, that's going to get me excited. I'm going to be off the walls. Let me jump around.
[00:21:39] I don't just be like a martini. I could. Yeah. Yeah. Wave a martini in front of me and like, Oh, relaxed. Whatever you want. Yes. Yes. So, uh, a little bit later down the line, we start getting, um, more contributions that the, the main guy that I took a lot of my information from, um, was David Spiegel. Yes.
[00:22:09] Yes. Oh, okay. You heard about him too. Yeah. Yeah. He's, he's awesome. I really liked the way he, and so I was very skeptical about hypnosis until I heard him talk about it. Yeah. And he, I mean, he breaks it down into, um, like a chemical reaction in the brain. Yes. You've got the, um, the salience network in your brain, which is in charge of attention.
[00:22:39] Yeah. If you're walking down the street and you hear a loud bang, the salience network in your brain is going to fire up real quick and you're going to be like, what's that? What's that? It's, it's there to protect you. Yeah. Um, and it also keeps you very distracted. It's very hard to focus on anything if that salience network is, is charged up and firing. Right.
[00:23:01] So what, what hypnosis does through focus is it brings down that, that network, the salience network activity goes down, you're, you're concentrating. And now the executive control network of your brain starts to take over. So ADHD people are like, we need hypnosis. Uh, you know, that directly came up in the research that I was. Yes. Oh my God. Absolutely.
[00:23:33] Um, so have you ever watched a movie and you forgot that you're watching it? You're, I have this in my notes too. Okay. That's, that's, that's literally hypnosis. It's just. Nothing else in the room or what's going on around you. You're just so focused on the movie and it happens while driving too. Oh, absolutely. Because you're hyper focused. Yes.
[00:23:59] It happens to be sometimes if I'm driving for a really long time, like where you kind of like forget you're driving and like, you're like, wait, I got to like scare yourself a little bit. Yeah. You're like, wait a minute. I got to focus on driving. How many miles was that? Oh my God. Yeah. Wait, I got to like, be aware of what's around me while I'm driving. Hang on. Oh my God. Yeah, absolutely. Creeps me out. And that's what it is.
[00:24:24] It's just, you're focused on one thing and now you're, you're getting access to the executive control network of your brain. Another thing that happens is the default mode of your brain, which is linked to your, your self identity that gets turned down too. And so you're able to detach from your, your normal self and now you're open to new suggestions.
[00:24:50] So when you see like someone on stage thinking they're a child. Right. Or, or, or thinking that the, they can fly or something, you know, whatever, whatever's been suggested, that's them detaching from their, their self identity and trying out something new. It's like those talk shows, like in the nineties that would do like, they would hire hypnosis to like hypnotize people in the live audience. Yep.
[00:25:20] And, um, I don't know. I read that it was just like a, a mild, like, that's not really what it is. Like, it's not all dance monkey dance. No, it's not control. Right. It is absolutely not mind control. And that was one of the other things that I found out about this too, is it is more like enhanced access to parts of your brain that you wouldn't normally have access to. Yeah.
[00:25:50] I feel like as a kid growing up, we thought it was one thing. Oh, gosh. But it's not. Looking at all of the, the clips and movies too, it was such a, a cliche that once you were hypnotized, you could, you would be able to control this person like a robot. Right. Like the puppets, like in the strings. Yeah. A marionette. Right. Yes.
[00:26:17] But it's not really about that. It's, you know, it's great for it and, and being used for is pain management, um, stress and anxiety. They use it for addiction. People stop smoking. Yeah. Right. But actually 90s use it for like entertainment value. Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. But there are real benefits and even, uh, physical benefits.
[00:26:47] So Dr. Spiegel, one of the things he talked about was phantom limb pain. Yeah. People that have lost a limb, but still have pain from nerve damage in that.
[00:26:58] So if you lost your arm, but you can still feel it, they use hypnosis to, to get rid of that and open yourself up to, they'll say like, move that arm, you know, and just even subconsciously moving your arm that isn't there helps with pain management. Yeah. Yeah. Like that's weird. He brought up the phantom thing because I'm in a lot of like VR Facebook groups and it got brought up recently.
[00:27:28] People are saying like, does anybody have phantom feeling in VR? Like if you hug somebody in VR, they actually feel it. I can relate to that because my sim racing is in VR. Right. And well, like I don't have, and these are people that don't have like the, the gloves or the, all the VR attachments, like only the headset. Same, same. Like hug somebody in VR. They feel it.
[00:27:54] So my experience is a little different, but I give people the finger when they try and run me off the road. But it's sort of the same feeling. That's funny. Screw you. If they're Italian, I'm doing the mama mia. That's hilarious. Yeah. So definitely it's been around.
[00:28:20] It's, it's changed over the years, but we've had one form of hypnosis or another for, for centuries. Yeah. Wow. That's very cool. Thank you for that. Yeah. All right. Should we move on to like psychology? If we have to, I think we're kind of already there. I know, right? The cool thing about it, it all just blends together. It does.
[00:28:50] All right. Let's see. I guess I'll start. I was going to cover the sub side of it. You're going to cover the Dom part. That's right. All right. So I guess from like a sub Dom sort of view, it's definitely more of like a obviously intensified dynamic being in that state. I mean, having control over someone's mind is deep. Yeah, absolutely. The mind is. Remember, it's not control, but there's certainly like you're.
[00:29:20] Yeah. You're giving some control. Over your mind. I think that's like the scariest thing ever. Absolutely. I think it's most intense form of like play ever. Like that's scary. I'd rather be tied up. Right. Like being tied up like, okay. Handcuffs. Okay. But like over your mind, control over your mind. That's scary to me. Let's see.
[00:29:48] So a lot of people use this type of submission play for like to get deeper into what they're already into, like puppy play, bimbo, like bimbofication, like cissification, forced bisexual. Like they want a reason to get deeper into it. But that brought me to thinking of like, okay, are you just like scared to do what you really want to do and you need a reason to do it? Oh, interesting.
[00:30:18] Or are you actually into this play? Like, are you actually into puppy play and you want to be a puppy? Or why do you need hypnosis to do it? Is there a wall blocking in your mind that like won't let you let go and do it? My feeling is it enhances that rather than enables that. So it's like, I like this, but let's add a little extra to it. Okay. A little spice. A little spice. Okay. And it can be its own thing.
[00:30:45] Just, you know, let's, let's use this one from the menu to serve up. That's a good point. Okay. I didn't think of that. So there's that. And there's also like, maybe there's a wall blocking where they're scared to really let go and let loose of what they want to explore sexually. It can go either way. I think. Yeah.
[00:31:08] I don't think there's, there's one angle for approaching erotic hypnosis. I think everybody has their own angle. It's personal for everybody for different reasons. Yeah, for sure. But with that being said, I wanted to go over safety for sure. Mm hmm. Trust your partner who you're doing this with. Because like I said, yeah. Don't use a stranger. Yeah. Don't use a stranger. Like you don't know them.
[00:31:38] And if they are a stranger, make sure they're a professional. Mm hmm. Definitely. Um, yeah. Like, I don't know. Like I, I heard stories on people being like, oh yeah, I made this girl like take all of her clothes off during a camp session and she doesn't remember it at all. I'm like, excuse you. I mean, if she consented to that, fine. Okay. But.
[00:32:03] The first problem with that sentence is you don't lose your memory in hypnosis. Okay. Like that's another part of this psychology of like, are you really like, I don't know. You're only present for it. Right. It's like, you're, you know what you're getting yourself into for a reason. Mm hmm. Like, I don't know. Like you just need an excuse or some spice to do it. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, sure.
[00:32:34] Like you said, I think it's the most intense. Yeah. But it's like, it was a guy's, a man, a man saying this, that he did this to a woman and it was like, I'm so, or no, he's like, I'm so powerful. I did this to a woman. She doesn't even remember. I'm like, that sounds rapey. That's why I'm like, what kind of men are into this? Hypnotizing women. And like, and that's why having a dom that you trust is so important. Yes.
[00:33:02] And that's why doing all this research, when I put it out there, like all the responses I got were from men. And then I realized, you know what? I want a female dom. Definitely. Yeah. So on that note, just, I found this site. Okay. And it is a, it's a erotic hypnosis site where you can connect with female doms. Okay.
[00:33:33] I found one person, but our schedules did not align. So it didn't end up doing it, but. Okay. Enrapture.net. It took me a second to find it in my notes. And I found some reviews. Okay. That were pretty cool. Hypno queen was the highest rated. Hypno queen has a smooth and calming voice that draws out my stress and conflict.
[00:34:00] Her voice disarms you and draws you into a comfortable place. She then awakens arousal and erotic daydreams. You didn't know were there. Okay. Wow. Lives up to the name. Hypno queen. Shout out to you. Hypno queen. Awesome. I do have to say that the, the site was very slow and page loads took a long time. Was it hypnotizing you? Maybe that's what was going on. I do want to go. Okay. So I do want to go over that too.
[00:34:30] How like, um, how do I say this? So in audio files, sometimes there's subliminal messaging and like the white static. Wow. And that's like hypnotizing people. Hello. This can get very conspiracy theory. Like, oh, the rabbit hole goes deep. Yeah. About like media, like TV news. And like, are we getting like hypnotized with subliminal messaging that we can't even hear or see?
[00:34:59] Like we have to put a pin in this because when we get to pop culture, I've got one that is directly related to that. Okay. We're skipping ahead. I'll wait. Okay. Okay. But let's see. What else? Another notes do I have for psychology? Um, do, do, do, do, do. All right. Let's see. We went over that. We went over that.
[00:35:27] No, we just went over everything. I think. We're. Oh, music. I think music is a form of hypnosis. Oh, have you ever been lost in music where you just like, don't care what you're doing? You're dancing. You're, you don't even care what you look like dancing. Like that is like nobody's watching. Oh my God. Yes. I music is powerful too. I mean, being on the dance floor and forgetting you're on a dance floor. Yeah. And just being lost in the music.
[00:35:56] There's an entire type of music called trance. Absolutely. That's what I started spinning. Yeah. Shout out to Paul Van Dyke. There we go. Oh, nice. Nice. I just came across that. What was it? That like nineties eclipse car commercial. The days go by. 30 Vegas. I have that on vinyl. Nice. I came across that meme today.
[00:36:26] I think Danny shared or no, somebody shared it. It's a meme. It was like a anonymous support group of like vinyl lovers. And they're like one, one of them is standing up and he's like, it's been two weeks since I've said I had that on vinyl. I have to go to another meeting tonight. Yep. Vinyl. Assess like anonymous. Oh my God. Okay. So, but you're for real though.
[00:36:55] And I definitely agree. Like there's ambient music. Yeah. Yeah. When I, when I play dance church, the very beginning of dance church is all about just like self-reflection meditation. So it's very just. So our non-midnapped listeners explain what dance church is. Okay. So dance church is, it's a dance event based on the five rhythms, which is, it's, it represents
[00:37:24] the, the life cycle. There's like. Birth to death. It's a totally like, there's no alcohol served, no drugs allowed. Yeah. It's a spiritual experience. It's like a sober event. Yeah. And it's, it's amazing. If, if you get the chance, definitely head out. But yeah, the very beginning, the very end, I'm doing very ambient. It's like yoga, meditation. Uh-huh.
[00:37:54] And everybody's just there to dance it out. And yeah, that's a place you can get hypnotized real quick. Through the music. Love it. That's cool. Yeah. Check that out if you're in Minneapolis. Um, let's see. Do you want to, did you go over all your psychology notes or? Oh, I got some, I got some good stuff. All right. Go for it. So just a couple of breaking down some myths.
[00:38:24] Uh, and we, we already touched on this one. You, you don't control someone's mind with mind control. You don't black out. And hypnosis isn't for weak minded people. I want to say, okay. So when I wanted to get hypnotized for research for this episode, Danny got kind of scared and he told me, well, I told him like, well, I want you to be in the room.
[00:38:51] Even like a cam session, you know, I at least want him to be in the room. And he's like, I don't think you can handle this. He was like, well, he thinks I'm, I'm like, I, and I am a more like submissive, weak person. And that's why I was scared to do this research. Like for the, like to actually try hypnosis myself. And like, and he was kind of, and he knows that about me. And so he was kind of like scared for me. He's like, are you sure you want to do this? Like, I don't know.
[00:39:21] He knows me well. And he's like, Katie, are you sure? Like, I don't know. Well, it should put him at ease to know that it isn't mind control. Yes. It is absolutely a tool for gaining access to yourself, your mind, your emotions. Yeah. But I was scared going into it and I didn't do it. Well, I did in some way. We'll go over that later. Yeah. I've done some hypnosis too. So we'll, we'll compare notes. Yep.
[00:39:52] Okay. So a little bit more about psychology before we move on. Why are people into it? Well, as a Dom, I think it's pretty obvious. It's a, it's a very powerful position to have over someone. Yes. I don't think we need to go over that anymore. That's pretty just cut and dry. And we saw that a bit with some of the people that wanted to, to hypnotize. Yes. It's, it's definitely. Yeah. Gotta have that.
[00:40:21] And, and safety and consent are key. Number one rule. Have guided, uh, your guidelines have safe words. Yeah. Oh, wait. Triggers. Oh yeah. It's kind of the same thing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That too. That's a great one. And just boundaries. Boundaries. Yes. Boundaries for sure.
[00:40:51] Um, so there's also one thing that I came across and that's just called the mind fuck element. And so. Okay. Some doms like playing mind games with people. And so this is definitely a way to mess with somebody's head. Yikes. Yeah. Yeah. This is why credit card companies don't trust, like they don't want to get sued.
[00:41:19] Like I, I didn't mean to spend all this money on this site. I was hypnotized. So the cool things that, that come out of this, um, you can get enhanced sensitivity, enhanced pleasure. It can just really heighten all of these emotions, all of these sensations. You're also opening yourself up emotionally more. Yeah. Maybe you're just a really intense person. You just want to relax.
[00:41:47] Like, yeah, I would rather do that instead of. Taking some sort of. Pharmaceutical drug, honestly. Yeah, me too. I mean, to each their own, some things work for different people, but that would be my preference personally. Yeah. Another pin to put in later. Yeah. Oh no. I'm just saying like, uh, what you can, what you can gain from it medically.
[00:42:18] Right. Oh, for sure. All right. Sorry. Danny's messaging me. Um, he's not running errands right now. He's like, are you done? I don't want to disturb you. Oh my God. What's up, Danny? Jake says hi. Um, so should we move on to common practices? Let's do it. All right. So I'm going to do one of my long winded lists of things used where I need to take a deep breath.
[00:42:48] Clear my throat. All right. Are you ready? I'm ready. There are a list of tools used for to be hypnotized. Pocket watch, pendulum, crystal ball, spiral disc, candles, metronome, hypnosis wheel, mirrors, soothing music, hypnotic voice recordings, white noise, ASMR sounds, tuning forks, drumming, kaleidoscopes, strobe lights, projected images, weighted blankets, essential oils, feathers, massage tools, mirrors, hypnosis apps, VR headsets, EEG headsets, electromagnetic simulators, soundproof
[00:43:17] rooms, dance or movement, eye gazing, water sounds and handwriting exercises. And now sometimes Rolexes. Oh my God, I did it. Oh my God. And you even improvised and added one at the end. That's amazing. Wow. So yeah. Golf clap, Katie. That was incredible. I'm going to take a sip. Here's to that.
[00:43:46] We can't clink and drink physically this time. Yeah. We're remotely recording for the first time today to let everybody know. It's actually really cool because when we record together, I never look at your face because we're facing different directions and looking at our notes and it's kind of difficult. Yeah. Now I can't avoid you. You're right in front of me and it's great. It's like we're having a conversation. And you don't have to drive 30 minutes to my studio. That as well. Yes.
[00:44:15] I hate traffic, but yeah, this is fun. I like this, this setup. This is cool. Yeah. We're going to set up a video recording next. So hopefully in the next episode, we'll get that figured out. But yeah, that's going to be next level. Yes. Love it. All right. So with that list being said. So we don't have time to go over all of those things. There was a lot.
[00:44:44] But we're going to go over some of them a little bit more closely. So first, I guess we already talked about the pocket watch and the spirals and stuff. So metronome. Do you know what that is? I'm a musician. Of course. I would assume that you do. Yeah. So to everybody listening, it's like a triangle wood box that has a meter on it and a metal piece that goes back and forth and makes like a clicking noise.
[00:45:14] Yeah. There it is. So it's a device that producers use. It's like an audible ticking sound or visual signal at like a consistent tempo. I'm sorry. I keep getting messages from people on Facebook and it's getting. All right. Muting everybody. Okay. You know, there's a way we could turn the. Oh, I'm hearing myself now.
[00:45:46] There's like an echo. Oh, no. It's gone. Okay. I don't know. We're good. Okay. Anyways. But it's like used to measure like consistent tempo or like beats per minute. Yeah. So there's that. That's used in hypnosis. That would make a lot of sense. That would. Yeah. Especially if you go for like a really low BPM. Makes you wonder why people are into certain types of like music. The BPM.
[00:46:14] That gets them into a certain like mood. Yeah. Based on the. Yeah. Tempo. Yeah. Sorry, Danny. Happy hardcore isn't going to entrance anyone. Well, maybe it maybe like entrances himself in a way. That could be. We'll have to ask him. Maybe it hypes them up to a trance of like. Have you ever seen a happy hardcore dance floor? People are going wild. Yes, they are. Yes, they are. I stand corrected.
[00:46:45] Yeah. All right. Let's see. The next thing. Hypnosis mirror. Have you heard of this? What? No. So. Okay. It's just a mirror. But. I've heard of that. But it's a great. Tool for hypnosis. Okay. Oh, no. Google fits. It happens every episode. That's because we're having fun. Right.
[00:47:15] So the idea is for you to stare at yourself while you listen to like hypnosis audio. And it'll make yourself like focus more within yourself internally. To get you deep into hypnosis state. Like if you want to do like on your own is the best way to do it, I guess. Yeah. I know like eye contact with somebody else is super intense. Like if you just stare at someone right in their eyes for like even a minute, it feels so long. But then. Yeah.
[00:47:44] Afterward, it's just so intense. I've seen those YouTube videos where they do experiments on this, where they're like, here's a stranger stare into their eyes for five minutes straight. And they record it. And they always end up like laughing, crying, like just intense feelings. Like, yeah. And it's true. Like it's literally just through eye contact. Yeah. That's wild. I want to try it sometime with somebody. You know what? Wait.
[00:48:11] When I did the nudist Q&A episode with Irma, she was telling me about a Burning Man hug. And I was like, what's that? Oh, right. And she said, it's a really long hug. You hug until like you feel something. And I was like, let's do it. It's on our Patreon. If you want to see it, I recorded it. Our hug. Patreon.com slash Kingston Cocktails. It's only a dollar a month.
[00:48:36] And it was like, so we did it and I recorded it video and she hugged me for like two minutes straight. And I ended up crying. Oh my gosh. Like happy crying. Like, it's like, I'm not going to cry thinking about it. It was like, it was like, oh my God, I don't think you can handle Burning Man, the emotion. Oh my God. It was intense. That's amazing. Yeah. A hug.
[00:49:06] How is it described again? A Burning Man hug. You hug for like two minutes straight until somebody feels something so intense that like their emotions just come out. That's how my dad described sex when he gave me the talk. That is beautiful. What a good way to give the talk. Cool. Thanks, Dad. Can I go play now?
[00:49:36] No. No, I love that though. Because he wasn't just like a dad that was like, oh, you just give it to her. You feel something. Maybe that's not how he described it. That was just a joke. I'm sorry to burst your bubble. I'm so gullible. Do you have a cheek? I couldn't let you believe that. I'm so gullible. This is why Danny did not want me to do hypnosis. He's like, could you imagine what you would do?
[00:50:06] Like, he's not wrong. Oh, my God. All right. Well, you had my hopes up there for men, but okay. That's how Danny Tanner explained it on Full House. So funny. Danny Tanner. Stephanie, can you sit down? Then the strings kick in. Yep. Well, Stephanie, would you feel really close with somebody?
[00:50:38] Share a very special hug. Yeah. Very special two minute long hug. Depending on the person. Until someone feels something very intense. Oh, my God. I can't. Next time I have sex, I was all going to think about now. It's a very, very long hug until one of us feels something very intense. Just don't sing the Full House theme song when that happens.
[00:51:09] Where are you walking to? Everywhere you look. Everywhere. There's a heart. There's a heart. Feel more. Danny's just like, what are you doing, Katie? Danny edits this. He's like, what the hell? That Full House? What the hell? He's like, you better not start singing that theme song next time you do it. Seriously, just switch it up.
[00:51:38] Can we do like Family Matters? What was the other one? Step by step. Day by day. Best start over in a different hand to play. Oh, my God. Yeah, I know all those theme songs. There we go. Let's move on. Let's move on. Oh, my God. We're getting sidetracked here. Oh, our tangents. Oh, my goodness. Okay. So, anyway.
[00:52:07] And this is a weird segue. You have to have intentions for your... What are your intentions? It's what you have to... I can't. I'm laughing. My intentions are to relive Full House in an adult manner. Have mercy. Okay. Okay. So...
[00:52:37] Wiping the tears. Wiping the tears. So, some people's intentions, not ours apparently, are hands-free orgasms. I read about that too. Yeah. Yeah. Which is a wild thing. Like, okay. Sometimes when I'm dreaming in my sleep, if I have like a sex dream, I'll wake up like mid-orgasm, not touching myself. Wow.
[00:53:07] Yeah. So, it's the thing. I can't make it happen when I'm awake, but it's happened several times in my life when I'm like... Probably because the salience network in your brain is firing off and you can't focus enough. There it is. Oh! There it is. Okay. So, let's move on to this. My intention... I decided to think about my intention when I wanted to try this. Okay. Hypnosis. Yeah. And that was my main thing is that I have a...
[00:53:36] You're going to learn a lot about me, Jake, right now. Let's do it. All right. Doing it for the pod. So, I have a hard time climaxing without clitoral stimulation. I feel like that's normal. It is. Yes. But I wanted to try to have... Go into hypnosis with that intention. I feel like... Oh! And this is not a Danny problem. It's a me problem. I don't know if it's a problem. I think it's just how you are.
[00:54:05] Every body is different. Yes. And that is just my preference. But I wanted to try it. You know? And so, like, I... Wanted to go into it as like a... That was my intention. Because I feel like I have a hard time letting go mentally. Let it happen. Mm-hmm. I don't know. And that's just me. I don't know. But that was my intention. Yeah. I think that's... Everybody. Yeah. I mean, so...
[00:54:34] This is why it's a erotic hypnosis thing. This is why it exists. For some guys, it's the opposite. And they have to think of something else. Otherwise, they'll come too soon. Baseball. Baseball. I didn't even know that. Friend dresser's voice. Baseball. I did not even think of that. But you're so right. Wow. Okay. So, yeah. Different intentions for everybody. Different reasons. That's right. Everybody is different.
[00:55:04] Yeah. Wow. Okay. What would your intention be? So, I actually have been doing self-hypnosis with the intention of increased focus. Okay. Primarily for work. Mm-hmm. But... And I've also added in some stress relief as well. Yeah. But it's been great. I really enjoy it.
[00:55:31] I'm using the app Reverie that was developed by Dr. David Spiegel. Oh, it was developed by him? It's his app. Oh, I didn't know that. I just found it. I'm like, okay, this is a popular one. Okay. His voice is in there and he's got this just deep, soothing voice. And I'm just like, yes, put me to sleep, Mr. Spiegel. What? Doctor. Pardon me. Oh. I like that. Yeah. I love it.
[00:56:00] And, you know, just after a couple of sessions, you feel better. Okay. It's really cool. I mean, like I said at the top, I was very skeptical about hypnosis in general my entire life. And then Dr. Spiegel in particular broke it all down. And now I see it as a tool that I'm excited to use. Yeah. I mean, literally. Oh, yeah.
[00:56:28] I did not buy the app because you do have to pay for it. And I don't know. But Danny did send me a couple of clips that he found. And I listened to them like in my headphones by myself. And I don't know. It was. I actually got very relaxed. It's crazy. I can't even remember what the clips are about. Is that weird? Maybe a little bit.
[00:56:58] I was joking around with Danny. I was like, do you want my intention to go and be like hypnotized to give you more blowjobs every day? He's like, yes. Oh, no. What did I just listen to? What did he send me? Danny. Oh, my God. But no, I guess let's. There's also like the trigger words we're talking about. Oh, sure. And so that's like to everybody listening.
[00:57:28] So trigger words are very important in like hypnosis. So they trigger feelings during the session. And they're set to determine or make you feel a certain way or do certain things. And it's like everybody knows that like during hypnosis, like the snap of the finger, you're going to do this or feel this way. You know, like it's like that's a trigger. Yep. Like when I say this word, you're going to do this. Yeah. So trigger words are. I think.
[00:57:58] Yeah. I think the most common one is snap of the finger. Yeah. Yeah. Also, a bell is pretty common, too. Oh, yeah, you're right. Yep. When you hear this bell, you're going to go crawl around on the floor or something. And bells, I feel like overlap a lot with meditation.
[00:58:20] So if I listen to meditations, they'll definitely have like a, you know, at the sound of the spell, you'll come out of your meditation. And it's very much in that same vein as hypnosis. Okay. Yeah, you're right. Oh, we're getting deep. Mm hmm. I knew this was going to be a good one. When we started. Yes. Let's move on to gooning. Gooning.
[00:58:49] I learned something new today. Right. I mean, okay. I knew about this, but I didn't know it was called gooning. You're like, I was a teenage boy and I've been doing this already. Yeah. In my day, we called it edging. Okay. Okay. You're right. You're right. Um, so I guess everybody who doesn't know. So it's gooning is just someone who just masturbates constantly. But like they're told to do so.
[00:59:20] Right. I didn't, I didn't read that. I just, I didn't know that there was instruction on you. You. Okay. You've added another layer. Thank you. Okay. So there are. Peel this onion. Don't cry. So there's a female content creators, um, online who make gooning porn. Okay. And so it's them.
[00:59:50] Like the whole concept is then like hypnotizing men, telling them to jerk off all day. All day. Or like just all the time. I'm like, you're going to like, don't you have jobs people like goon porn? Like you love this. This is all you live for. You just jerk off and that's it. And that they men are buying these clips to watch. I mean, this is, this is whoever figured this out.
[01:00:19] This is genius for the female content. Yes. Now you can make hour long episodes instead of two and a half minutes. And like, it's like, okay, I'm sorry, but is this necessary? No. Do men need another reason to jerk off all the time? Like. It's not necessary, but if they're willing to pay for it, let them. Well, right. Yes, absolutely. Good job, ladies. But like. Get that money. Right.
[01:00:46] But like, it's like, they're just finding an excuse to do it. The guys. Oh, that tracks. Like they're telling me to jerk off. So now I'm, I'm doing it. I just, I'm hypnotized. I'm just. Yeah. I didn't have a choice in the matter. Here's my credit card. Not by choice. I navigated to this website and bookmarked it. How dare you make me buy seven more episodes.
[01:01:14] Now I'm going to sue the credit card company because I should not be charged for this. I was hypnotized. Sir, again. No, we're not charging this back again. Oh, so funny. Hypno queen made me. Hypno queen. Damn it. Now shout out to hypno queen. Good job. Shout out to hypno queen. Top rated on in rapture.net. Love it. I'm going to check that out later.
[01:01:45] All right. So I guess there's. Let's see. In person, online, audio files. Yeah. So if I do end up actually doing this, I guess maybe I'll record it and put it on Patreon. Oh, you have to. Yeah. That's got. I want to see it. All right. Well, you got the free subscription. You're the host. I'll pay the dollar. Oh, it's only a dollar. Shout out to all of our patrons. We love you. Love you guys.
[01:02:15] Keeping the lights on over here. All right. Should we move on to media and pop culture? Yes. Because there's so much. There was. So, yeah, I sent you that like clip list on YouTube of all the hypnosis scenes. Somebody created an entire list on YouTube of every single like hypnosis scene in movies and TV. I don't know if it was everyone, but there was a lot.
[01:02:44] It was a lot. There was like a hundred. I swear. I think I think there was over a hundred. Like I was scrolling for a while. I did not watch them all, but I I kind of picked and choose a few. Right. I picked and choose the ones that like I kind of knew recognized the movie. Yeah. Well, yes. And then there were some that were just like, that looks weird. I got to check that out. Or like the old stuff, the 60s and 70s stuff. I had a note about that, too.
[01:03:12] There's so much like stuff from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. So what did you notice was the main theme of all of the especially like the older ones? Yeah. Like why? Why was it? Why is this such a huge deal back then? It was just getting like more recognized with was it like the. Pop culture drug era. I don't know. I was like, oh, right. Let's get trippy.
[01:03:41] Like what is happening? Well, OK, so one of the big depictions I saw was Bram Stoker's Dracula. Yes. Which is a huge piece of culture in literature, in sci fi, in horror, in erotica. Mm hmm. Like there's so many different overlays on this one book.
[01:04:06] And from that, I mean, he is hypnotizing his his victims, his lovers, his concubines and controlling them. And you see this come up in so many different vampire movies or erotic movies. Like it's it's all about control to then. I mean, let's be real. Just rape women. Well, to drink their blood.
[01:04:37] Ultimately, yes. Yes. Right. I had an exact note about this to vampire Dracula scenes, movies like there's a lot of hypnosis in it. It's weird. So much. It's it's funny because there's also nowadays like those movies. Girls like love the whole vampire Dracula scene. They don't need to be hypnotized for it. Like they love it. There's a whole like fan fiction about it, you know? Yeah.
[01:05:04] But back then and even still today, there's still there's so many Dracula movies. Yeah. They were everywhere. Mm hmm. There's a lot of clips on that. So many. Um, OK, wait, let's see. Moving on. So Hugh Hefner, Playboy, he held hypno parties. What?
[01:05:28] He would hire hypnosis, hypnosis and like, OK, this is going to get really creepy. So he's a kind of a creepy guy. Oh, yeah, for sure. That's a whole nother deep dive. Yeah. But he would hire people to hypnotize his girls, the Playboy bunnies, and he would make parties out of it. That sounds like him. Right.
[01:05:51] Like he would invite guests over, all men, and hypnotize his Playboy bunnies girls in front of everyone. Mm hmm. And made a party out of it. And I assume humiliate them. Right. Yeah. Like I watched the whole Playboy money documentary. Like, so I already did not like him. Mm hmm. And this just added another layer. Mm hmm. Very creepy. Ugh. Yikes.
[01:06:22] Yeah. Um, I have two more movie TV scenes I want to go over. OK. Um, Gilligan's Island had a, had a scene. Oh, wow. Did you see it? No, I didn't. OK. So, I can't recall exactly what the scenario was because it was just a short scene. So I didn't know exactly what was going on.
[01:06:45] But, um, so one of the women on the island was getting hypnotized by one of the guys. I don't know why. I didn't. I couldn't figure it out. But Gilligan was like hiding in the bushes watching. And apparently Gilligan ended up getting hypnotized on accident because he was like spying. Oh my God. It was just kind of funny. I don't know. I love that show. Gilligan's Island.
[01:07:14] I forgot about that show. Summer Vacation. Right? All the reruns. Yeah. Another one was, uh, the movie Office Space. Oh, yeah. That one. I love that. Good movie. Can't you just make me think I'm fishing all day? Oh, that's not what I do, Peter. Right. It's so funny.
[01:07:42] He's just like, well, I don't give a shit anymore. I'm like, you know what? Yeah. Hell yeah. And then he gets promoted. I love that. Oh, the bobs. Yep. So good. And then the stapler guy. Oh my God. Yes. He just like.
[01:08:09] Obsessed with the stapler and then like burns the place down and ends up on the beach in paradise. Like, good job. Good for you too. Okay. I guess I'll just burn down the building then. Excuse me. Nice for rum and my pina colada. I said, no, this is covered in salt. Okay, fine. I'll watch office space again. Yeah. You don't have to twist my arm for that one. So good. Good.
[01:08:39] So I found this movie that I had never heard of before called Lookers from 1981. Okay. What's that about? Yeah. When you were talking about subliminal messages. Mm-hmm. This one immediately came to my mind. It takes. It's 1981. 1981. And they, this, this application called Looker. And this is, this is a quote from the movie. Okay.
[01:09:10] It's in 81. So take it with a grain of salt. Looker is a computer generated optical pulse synchronized with cordial algorithms producing an auto hypnotic suggestible trance. This is 81? This is 81. 81. Basically what they were doing was hypnotizing women through commercials and tricking them into buying their product. Oh, like the pink tax.
[01:09:39] Like the what? The pink tax. Like how they make all women's products like pink, like razors, pink razors, like it's made for women. And we have to pay more for it because it's pink and it's made for women. Pink tax. The pink tax. Yeah. Gotcha. Not familiar with that until now. It was sort of like that, but I think it was definitely more sinister. Yeah. Yeah. Yikes. I found some good ones from Wonder Woman, Charlie's Angels.
[01:10:09] Yep. There is this great movie that I had totally forgotten. The whole premise was hypnotizing models to become assassins. My favorite James Bond movie on her magic secret service. What? Yes. Explain this to me. What?
[01:10:30] So the bad guy, Ernst Stavro Blofeld invites all of these socialites to his mountain retreat. Okay. What they don't know is they're being hypnotized to become his assassins. How do they hypnotize them? Through voice and pictures and colors. There's like a speaker PA doing that dulcimer voice sound.
[01:10:59] You want to submit to me. You want to do everything I say. And like there's these psychedelic colors going all over. Joanna Lumley from absolutely fabulous is one of the Bond girls in the scene. I was like, oh my God. Really? Yes. Yeah. It was like, oh yeah, that's right. Forgot about this movie. It's so good.
[01:11:27] And also Hugh Grant's very first movie, The Layer of the White Worm, which if you haven't seen it, don't. No, no. Why? What happens? It's just very bad. Oh no. I mean, the name alone should be enough of a flag for you to be like, I might skip that movie. Yeah.
[01:11:54] But it's got a lot of hypnosis in it. Okay. There's a worm that transforms into a woman that then starts hypnotizing people. Yeah. Yeah. That's a thing. Oh my goodness. Mm-hmm. Um, do you have more or should I keep going? Um, do you have more media pop culture stuff? I've got a lot more. Go for it.
[01:12:25] Get Out. The Manchurian Candidate. The movie? The movie. Wait, what hypnosis happened in there? I can't remember. In Get Out? Yeah. That's like the central plot. The psychiatrist uses hypnosis to manipulate people. I saw it so long ago. I had to... Well then, I'm going to pump the brakes on that and you can watch it again. Yeah. Uh, let's see what else we got.
[01:12:54] Oh, uh, Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon. That was another one. Inception. Inception isn't so much hypnosis. It's more like dreams, but it's kind of like, you know, sort of control there. It's on the tree branch. One of the ones that I was like, oh my God, yes. How did I forget about that one? Zoolander. Zoolander. What? What?
[01:13:17] So Mugatu, who's played by Will Ferrell, is hypnotizing male models to turn them into assassins. Sort of like Honor Majesty Secret Service. And when Derek Zoolander hears... Oh, what is the song? Relax by... Relax, don't do it. Who is that? I know what song you're talking about. Yeah. When you want to get to it. Yeah. Frankie goes to Hollywood. That's his trigger.
[01:13:48] Oh! So when that song comes on, he wants to kill... Oh gosh, who was it? Like the president of Burundi or something like that. I can't remember. But some foreign diplomat. Uh-huh. Yeah. It's so great. I haven't seen any of these movies in so long. I'm going to have to add them to my list again. That's from 2001. Yeah. That's over 20 years ago. Yeah. Shallow Hal. Jack Black. Was that a hip... I've seen it, but is that a hip...
[01:14:16] Yeah, he gets hypnotized into... ...thinking people's exterior physical appearance... ...is based on their character. So someone who has a very positive... Yeah. ...character is going to be beautiful. And, you know, an asshole is going to look ugly. After he's hypnotized by Tony Robbins, who is... ...motivational speaker, not a hypnotist. Wow.
[01:14:47] Yeah. That was quite the movie, too. Yeah. Oh. Got a few more. Go for it. There is this book... ...by... ...his name is... Oh, where'd you go? Where'd you go, sir? I didn't really get into books. There were a few books. Okay.
[01:15:16] And this one was... Like, you can read to hypnotize yourself? Or... Well, this one was like a how-to. Okay. I see. Well, if I find it in my notes again, I'll... Oh, Darren Brown's book. Yeah. Okay. Oh, no. That's not it. We'll just pretend I said that one. If you find it, you find it. I'll move on. If I find it, I find it. Yeah. Have you got any music?
[01:15:45] So, not music, but I did... Because I love doing VR. Oh, yeah. And I found some hypnosis worlds. Hypnosis worlds? Mm-hmm. Where... So, there's like visual simulators and VR worlds that you can go to. And there'll be like a menu in the world that you can choose different like...
[01:16:15] What you want. If you want it to be stars. If you want it to be spirals. If you want it to be this or that. Okay. Okay. And it... So, you sit there. You go into the middle of the world. And you sit in the middle. You hit the menu. And you pick what you want. Spirals. And then you pick your music. Mm-hmm. Um... Visuals. Stars. Whatever you want. You can mix and match. All that stuff. And then you hit start. And you just sit there. And you're immersed in this entire VR world.
[01:16:43] Of whatever like... Visual... Like visuals and music you picked. That's crazy. You're just sitting there. And you can look all around. Uh-huh. And it's 360 surrounding you. Sounds like you're in that... Van Gogh experience sort of thing. Yeah. It is like that. Yes. Except it's like... You can choose your own adventure. Whatever you want. That's cool. And so I did a few of those. Like the spirals and stuff. Mm-hmm.
[01:17:12] And like some of them were like... You're just walking down a spiral hallway. Like a tunnel. Oh, wow. And you just keep like... I'm just like walking in VR. Down a spiral tunnel. Like... That sounds like something out of a... Like a haunted house or something. Right. It was cool. It was fun to... I did it for science. Doing it for science. It was fun. I don't know. They're really cool. That is cool. Yeah. I found the book. Okay. Yeah. What was it?
[01:17:41] It's called Mind Play, A Guide to Erotic Hypnosis. And it's by Mark Wiseman. Okay. It covers the basis of hypnosis. It gives you introductions into techniques. Mm-hmm. It gives you... Ethical hypnosis and consent boundaries. So it's an ethical book. Definitely for sex positive people.
[01:18:11] Okay. So it's for both doms and subs. It's definitely for both. It's just... Yeah. Informative for everyone. Yeah. Okay. And it's a kind of a beginner level book. Okay. So yeah. I like that. It's Mark Wiseman Mind Play. All right. Shout out to him. I'll check that out. Mm-hmm. That's cool.
[01:18:33] So when Danny sent me that clip, the audio clip to listen to, it got me sleepy. Okay. Which is weird because I just drank a Red Bull. And I was like, wait a minute. What? I don't know if that's an endorsement of hypnosis. I don't know if that's an endorsement of hypnosis or a rejection of Red Bull. Right. Sorry, Red Bull.
[01:19:03] Sorry, Red Bull. Your product don't work. Uh-huh. But I... Usually Red Bull does it for me. Because... But I don't know. After, like, listening to the clip, I was just like, I'm really tired all of a sudden. Well, part of it, you're supposed to be very relaxed. Well, right. But with... I think, like, with erotic hypnosis, I think I would want to be energized. That's a good point. That's a good point. Which is weird. Yeah. It's bad when you're falling asleep.
[01:19:33] Right. Like, what? I don't know. No, no. I really like it. I'm just going to fall asleep during the middle. Sorry. It's so good. So good. Snore. That's it. Right there. It's like, I want to be energized. Yeah.
[01:20:01] Maybe there's a little tweaking that needs to be done. Maybe. Do you have anything else? I got a couple songs. Oh, okay. What are the songs? So there's the screaming Jayhawks. I put a spell on you. Oh. And now you're mine. Okay. There's Hypnotized by Fleetwood Mac. Oh. Yep.
[01:20:27] And then, of course, Hypnotized by the notorious B.I.G. Okay. I didn't even think of that. Can't you see? Sometimes he moves. Just hypnotize me. Oh, my God. You're right. Love it. It reminds me of the song. Who is that? Madonna? Like, coming down on my knees. I can't think of it right now. Like a prayer?
[01:20:58] Yes. Is that kind of? On my knees. I want to take you there. In the midnight hour. I can feel your power. Just like a prayer. You know I'll take you there. Yeah. I'm going to stop right there. Because I was going to go. No, I love it. I was going to go into the bridge right there. We're. Move on. Donna, what can I say? We can't get copyrighted for music. Hang on.
[01:21:27] Oh, that's true. Yeah. But no. Yeah. I don't think that voice is going to throw up any copyright flags, though. But I feel like she's like in a trance. Yeah. Like she's talking about being in a trance for him. Uh-huh. She's like, I'll do anything. I'll get on my knees. I'll take you there. Yeah. Uh-huh. Just like a prayer. I'll take you there. Any more songs? No. No. Those were the ones that I.
[01:21:56] I mean, I found some other stuff that was sort of like a stretch. So these are the good ones. Okay. Do you want to do more into a stretch or no? No. No. We'll just leave it there. All right. Well, this was fun. Yeah. I've been looking forward to this one for a while. So I'm glad we finally got to it. Yeah. We're trying to put out about one episode a month.
